MARCH TOP PICKS (UPDATED)

So now I’ve got a little bit more into the blogging side of things and something I now realise I should have done a long long time ago oops! I’m going to be posting regular updates of my wish lists/top picks of must have items which are hot off the new in sections.

The weather has been very drab as of late and it feels like this winter has dragged on and on.. yawnnn. It honestly feels like Christmas was a year ago already, I wish I was exaggerating! But now the clocks have finally gone forward and officially British summer time is now among us, yay! It’s the perfect time for a clothing refresh! I’ve been hoarding and slipping in key pieces for my spring/summer wardrobe since January but I didn’t think it would take this long for me to finally get my wear out of my newly purchased garments! I’m still building up my spring wardrobe myself and can’t wait to finally wear new clothes without having them covered by a big coat and 50 million layers! (This time I am exaggerating) I will be posting a few key items on my want list below with links to each item, Happy spring guys!!

Nhow Berlin – Europe’s first music hotel

Having recently came back from a well needed city break in Berlin, I wanted to share with you all the hotel which I had a pleasure in staying at (Thank you to my friend Gemma for choosing a great hotel! 1-2 I believe the score now stands at) ha

The hotel which we stayed at for 3 nights is the Nhow Berlin, it has a recognised status as the first music hotel in Europe! And my stay here definitely reflected that… The hotel itself is situated next door to MTV studios Berlin and Universal Music so lots of inspiration around! It is also home to its own recording studios situated at the top of the hotel!

Connecting to the hotel is the Seven Star gallery

The concept of the hotel is based purely around the music and each of the five lifts which take you from the lobby area to the different floors has a different genre of music playing in every lift!!

Our hotel room itself was situated on the third floor and we stayed in a Nhow premium room, the theme of pink and neon is very much an influence throughout this hotel and the rooms also reflected this! Our room felt very much like we had stepped into a 1960’s time capsule crossed with Barbies Malibu dream house! The pastel pinks theme ran throughout including the bathroom! The architectural side of the hotel has been thought out very carefully and each detail has been perfected to a high standard with the design being very modern but with a retro twist.

Nhow is situated right on the river with amazing views from the lobby and restaurant out onto the banks, the transport links are very reliable and the overground train is situated just around the corner about a 10 minute walk from the hotel which takes you directly into the city centre in less than 15 minutes! If you don’t want to use public transport you can always walk into the centre something we didn’t do as it was -5 most days! So so cold! But my prediction is that it won’t take too long, Or if walking isn’t fees-able the hotel also provides its own taxi rank outside!

If you want to stay in Berlin and not sure which hotel to stay at, Nhow is definitely one of the best hotels there is to offer with friendly staff, exceptional breakfasts and even lets you hire guitars/keyboards in your hotel room! Not many hotels can offer that service.

We stayed here for 3 nights and on average one night will cost you from £73 per room, I have added a link to the website for more details.

Co-ordinating

A little bit later than I had planned… but better late than never!

Been away for a couple of weeks and it’s been busy to say the least! Went away to Berlin for a few days (look out for some upcoming posts all about it!) Since then I’ve been catching up with work, people, depop etc!

Anyhow! Whilst I was over there I was loving this amazing BooHoo co-ord! The stripes, the colours are everything! I’m very much into a lot of stripes and polka dots at the moment (just look at my Instagram ) Not only is the suit very flattering but it pretty much goes with anything, I even have an image in my head of how I could get away with wearing it at a festival in a few months time!

I bought the co-ord from the BooHoo plus range, I’m usually a 12/14 but I couldn’t help but need/want it and I know their plus range starts at 16 upwards. I had an idea to wear the blazer oversized which I usually do anyway and to maybe get a bit handy with the sewing machine on the shorts.. I bought this in a size 18 and I didn’t have to do anything to it! The shorts are elasticated so came up to my normal size 12/14 and has a lot of stretch so always helpful for that food baby ha! The stripes are very flattering, my only wish is that they had more colours boooo!

I have added a link at the bottom of the page for the outfit and for my new favourite face earrings which come in at a jaw dropping £3.74! They were a bargain to begin anyway, but New Look have a special offer on at the moment! So be quick! Until next time have fun shopping! G xx

Georgina Marie Sherwin

Hello!! Firstly thank you for taking time out of your day to start reading my life events/daily fashion. (I’ll try to update as much as I can!) There is nothing worse than Ice breakers for me! So here are 10 facts about me and what has made me who I am today, enjoy!

1. I’m a Leo and my personality definitely matches that!

2. I have a cute little dog called Lily who is 2 this year and is such a little diva!

3. Everyone has fears right!? Well apart from spiders my other major fear is road sweepers… I know it’s odd but it makes a great fact when you’re in an ice breaker!

4. I like to credit my style to my parents and for pushing the boundaries when it comes to dressing out of the norm. Both of my parents are rockabilly enthusiasts so I grew up surrounded by the 1950’s, vintage and Elvis memorabilia and lots of leather jackets!

5. Pssstt I’m not a natural blonde! Surprise! I’m actually light brown/red head

6. I don’t eat pork, I’ve never been into meat much but I haven’t touched pork of any kind since I got taken to a piggy farm when I was 12 and seeing those cute little piglets put me right off! Do I miss it!? Hell no!

7. I used to own my own vintage label selling purely online, unfortunately I had to give that up when I started working full time, as any business leader will know it’s hard work running a business it’s even harder trying to do your dream aswell as hold down a 9-5 job! I still sell on the side more as a hobby and when I can do I still get that freedom but still enjoy doing what I love!

8. Anyone in the Midlands will know Firkins. If you’re reading this and you’re not in the Midlands it’s our answer to Greggs or used to be! And its a family business from my Grans side. They did the best Belgian buns!

9. I’m obsessed with gingham and check it’s kinda taking over my wardrobe right now as you will see in future posts but it is so classic and goes with pretty much everything!

10. I have a lovely boyfriend called Adam, we’ve been together almost a year and I love him so much! CRINGE ALERT! He is always there for me whenever I need him even with my constant moaning sometimes, I can rely on him for anything and supports everything I do! I’m one lucky girl!
